Regian Eersel vs. Samy Sana headlines Lion Fight 34 on, February 3 at the Tropicana Resort Casino, Las Vegas. In the co-main event of the evening, Iman Barlow defends her super-bantamweight championship against Meryem Uslu– a rematch six years in the making with Uslu looking to avenge a decision loss in their previous fight.
Lion Fight 34 will be televised on AXS TV in the USA and will commence from 1800 hours Pacific Time (PT) / 2100 hours Eastern Time (ET).

Iman Barlow defends her 55kg Lion Fight women’s world championship against Germany’s Meryem Uslu at Lion Fight 34 on February 3 at the Tropicana Resort Casino, Las Vegas. The bout will be a rematch six years in the making with Barlow having won by decision when the two had clashed before. Barlow vs. Uslu is the co-main event of the night, headlined by Lion Fight’s middleweight champion, Regian Eersel vs. Dewitt Pratt.

Ibrahim El Boustati won a very close decision against GLORY Kickboxing and It’s Showtime veteran, Filip Verlindenat Enfusion Live 41. However, the decision has been dogged in controversy ever since and has turned into a full blown scandal with allegations of corruption over how the Belgium authorities overturned the decision into a victory for Verlinden a month later.
The shocking result change has been ignored by Enfusion and strongly refuted by their first two-weight male champion, El Boustati who, lambasted the media for, not acknowledging his (then) undefeated record of 45-0.

Mellony Geugjes defeated Japanese kickboxer, Kana at KRUSH 72 on January 15, 2017 in Japan for, the 50kg KRUSH women’s world championship. The coming months will be very interesting for Geugjes who, guested on the podcast recently, and spoke about her future plans for both kickboxing and MMA.
Mellony Geugjes is the new 50kg KRUSH women’s world kickboxing champion and Daria Albers is a kickboxing and Muay Thai veteran who, has fought around the world including for WLF in China. Both female fighters join K1Anoop on this episode of the podcast talking about their achievements to-date. Geugjes clears up her future in kickbxoing and MMA and what her plans are in both rules of combat and Albers shares her deep history in fighting and some of the very challenging expriences she has had to face over the years.
Tyrone Spong is a professional boxer, kickboxer and mixed martial artist from the Netherlands of Surinamese descent. Spong is widely regarded as one of the greatest kickboxers of the modern era and a veteran of some of the biggest kickboxing promotions such as: K-1, It’s Showtime and GLORY Kickboxing. The “King of the Ring” had cornered Idris Elba for the British actor’s professional kickboxing debut last year which, is now being broadcasted in a three part documentary on, Discovery UK – Idris Elba: Fighter.
Kieran Keddle who, coached the British Hollywood actor, is friends with Spong and gave a good idea of what the kickboxing legend was like in the gym with Elba for the ‘Fighter’ documentary. Tyrone last fought professionally in the kickboxing ring at GLORY 15 (in April 2014) when he sustained a terrible leg break against, Gökhan Saki. Since then Spong has gone undefeated in six pro boxing bouts but speculation still continues as to whether or not Spong may return to kickboxing – something that even Kieran Keddle shared his opinion on too.
Kieran Keddle is a former three time world Thai boxing champion and head coach of Double K Gym who, coached Hollywood actor, Idris Elba for a year leading up-to Elba’s professional kickboxing debut.
Elba was a complete novice when he first started training with Keddle. The whole experience involved both Keddle and Elba travelling around the world together to: Australia, Cuba, South Africa and Thailand, to train with K-1 legends, Masato and Tyrone Spong and former IBF world heavyweight champion, Francois Botha.
The British actor’s entire preparation and professional kickboxing debutwas filmed and broadcasted as the Idris Elba: Fighter documentary by the UK Discovery Channel under the guidance of, Kieran Keddle.

Idris Elba‘s kickboxing coach Kieran Keddle is the main guest on this episode of the podcas. As well as Double K Gym fighters: Evan Jays, Luke Whelan and Jamie Whelan talking about their upcoming fights and the year ahead for them now that the new Double K Gym in Bromley, UK has opened.
